Serendipity: a journey through Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is an incredibly beautiful country. The warmth of the people, the smells, the nature, the scenery and the amazing amount of wildlife were all so much more than I expected. I decided to name this film Serendipity for two reasons. The first being that it was such an amazing discovery to me, and the second because the word serendipity is actually derived from the old Persian name for Sri Lanka. How serendipitous!

Filmed over the course of 16 days in Negombo, Dambullah, Sigirya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Ella, Yala National Park, Tissamaharama, Mirissa, Unawatuna, Galle and Colombo. I tried to convey the whirlwind of sights, sounds and feelings I experienced. I hope you enjoy it! Leave a comment if you did! I'd really appreciate it.

Filmed, directed and edited by Benjamin Woodard
